Trí ábhar atá san Oideachas Sóisialta, Imshaoil agus Eolaíoch: Eolaíocht, Tíreolaíocht agus Stair. Cuireann an OSIE ar chumas páistí tuiscint a fháil ar a dtimpeallacht áitiúil agus ar an timpeallacht i gcoitinne, agus taiscéalaíocht agus imscrúdú a dhéanamh ar na timpeallachtaí sin.
Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) consists of three subjects: Science, Geography and History. SESE enables children to explore, investigate and develop an understanding of local and wider environments.
Stair / History
Trí ábhar atá san Oideachas Sóisialta, Imshaoil agus Eolaíoch: Eolaíocht, Tíreolaíocht agus Stair. Cuireann an OSIE ar chumas páistí tuiscint a fháil ar a dtimpeallacht áitiúil agus ar an timpeallacht i gcoitinne, agus taiscéalaíocht agus imscrúdú a dhéanamh ar na timpeallachtaí sin.
Múintear an stair do gach dalta ó rang na naíonán beag go rang a sé. Cuireann an curaclam ar chumas páistí bunscileanna an staraí a fhorbairt trí eolas a chur ar dhaoine, ar imeachtaí agus ar ghluaiseachtaí san am atá imithe thart.

An curaclam atá ann i láthair na huaire, tugadh isteach é mar chuid de Churaclam na Bunscoile (1999).
History is for all children from junior infants to sixth class. The curriculum supports children to develop basic skills as an historian through a knowledge and understanding of people, events and developments in the past.
The curriculum is presented in two sections:
- Skills
- Content:
- Myself and my family
- Story
- Early people and ancient stories
- Life, society, work and culture in the past
- Eras of change and conflict
- Politics, conflict and society
- Continuity and change over time.
The current curriculum was introduced as part of the Primary School Curriculum (1999).
Tíreolaíocht / Geography
Múintear an tíreolaíocht do gach dalta ó rang na naíonán beag go rang a sé. Cuireann an curaclam ar chumas páistí ciall a bhaint as a dtimpeallacht féin agus as an domhan mór. Déanann siad amhlaidh trí scileanna geografacha éagsúla a fhorbairt ó imscrúdú a dhéanamh ar eilimintí daonna agus nádúrtha ina dtimpeallacht féin agus sa domhan mór.
In dhá chuid a chuirtear an curaclam i láthair:
- Scileanna agus coincheapa
- Ábhar:
- Timpeallachtaí an duine
- Timpeallachtaí nádúrtha
- Feasacht agus cúram an chomhshaoil.
Geography is for children from junior infants to sixth class. The curriculum enables children to make sense of their surroundings and the wider world. They do so by developing a range of geographical skills as they explore the natural and human elements of local and wider environments.
The curriculum is presented in two sections:

- Content:
- Human environments
- Natural environments
- Environmental awareness and care.

Múintear an eolaíocht do gach dalta ó rang na naíonán beag go rang a sé. Cuireann an curaclam ar chumas páistí na bunscileanna eolaíochta a shealbhú trí eolas a chur ar an eolaíocht agus tuiscint uirthi a fháil.
In dhá chuid a chuirtear an curaclam i láthair:
- Scileanna
- Ábhar:
- Nithe beo
- Fuinneamh agus fórsaí
- Ábhair
- Feasacht agus cúram an chomhshaoil.
